Scrapping Outback Wicked Wonderland Reveal

'Wicked' Greetings!!

Well I attended an absolutely wicked tea party over the last weekend at Scrapping Outback. Thanks so much to the lovely ladies who came and joined in the fun and frivolity. It sure was an awesome way to spend the weekend.

Here are a couple of layout shares from the weekend

First up is 'Wonderland'. This is the layout that I completed for my online class and I had so much fun designing this one. I believe that there are still a couple of kits still available in store and with the purchase you will receive access to the class instructions for making your very own Wonderland creation.

Photobucket

The awesome Wonderland and rabbit chippie are designed by Rachelle Minett and are both included with the kit. I had lots of fun colouring Mr Rabbit - I know that he is a 'white rabbit' and rabbits don't wear pants but we had to give him pants at my Miss E's insistance (LOL!)

The following layout I completed for Alicia Barry's Queen Of Hearts 'Off with Their Heads' challenge. This is my take on it.

I have used Pink Paislee patterned papers from the Wicked Wonderland Goodie Kit for this one

Chippie is also included in the kit - how cool is that Dusty Attic spider LOL!!

I am just thankful for everything. I have a roof over my head, food in the cupboards, clothes to wear, a car to get me where I need to go, my family to share everything with and so much more. I don't have too much but just what I need. Thank you to everyone who protects my rights and freedoms so we can be the great country we are. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone wherever you are wether you celebrate this holiday or not.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

To You and Yours!!!

From all of us here at Glue Arts!!

We hope all of you....our fans, friends, consumers and retailers enjoy a wonderful holiday!!

It's truly been a pleasure these past few months since we kicked off the Glue Arts blog to read your comments and praise for our Glue Arts products and projects!

Many of you are having family and friends over and may have realized you could use a few decorations for your Thanksgiving table. Here's a few easy to make crafts that use items from right in your home and quick enough to make in time for Thanksgiving!!

Holiday Menu Frame

Supplies:
Glue Arts Hot Glue Gun
Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares
Glue Arts Adhesive Squares
Glue Arts Vinyl Car Accents
May Arts Ribbon
Picture Frame
Fall Leaves & Picks
K & Company Butterflies

1) Cut the Vinyl Accents to fit inside the picture frame. Next take the pieces out from the frame, insert the vinyl then add the glass and such behind the Glue Arts Vinyl Accents for support.
 2) Next select your leaves and fall picks. Hot glue the fall items together at the ends. Tie ribbon around ends and add butterfly. Use Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive…add several squares to backside of leaves and press onto frame.
4) Cut a length of ribbon to run diagonally across bottom corner of frame. Adhere with Adhesive Squares. Adhere leaves together with Extreme Adhesive Squares and adhere onto ribbon.
5) Finish by grabbing a piece of chalk and writing out the day’s menu, a special welcome greeting or note!
6) Fun idea…make small chalkboard frames and personalize with your guests names for a unique placecard!

Fabric Pumpkin

Glue Arts Hot Glue Gun
Fat quarter of fabric
Cardstock
May Arts Ribbon
Leaves, Fall Picks
Toilet Paper Roll (yes...it's true!!)

1) Set paper roll on center of fabric. Pull fabric up and into center of paper roll. Keep pulling and tucking fabric arranging it as you work. Once all the fabric is fulled into roll...use your glue gun to adhere fabric together.
2) To "plump" the pumpkin just a bit...push down on it from the top to give it a bit of a squash. {technical term here!lol}
3) Cut a strip of paper...about 4 inches by 6 inches. Roll it up...ink the edges and hot glue into the center of the pumpkin. Give it a bit of a bend.
4) Add some fabric or felt leaves, fall pick and tie a bit of ribbon!

Quick, easy and economical decoration that will definitely not break the bank.

Last before we go today....since we started the Glue Arts blog we've been quite fortunate to work with some wonderful companies! Cosmo Cricket, Colorbox, Hero Arts, Imaginisce and May Arts just to name a few!

We thought it would be only fitting for this holiday to offer to you...our amazing fans a goodie bag of items we've accumulated and of course our Glue Arts products!!

We'll pick a winner who will enjoy: a Glue Glider Pro, Extreme Adhesive Squares and Mini Squares, May Arts Ribbon, two Fiskars Border Punches, a Mini Deck of Cosmo Cricket paper, Colorbox Chalk Ink Set, Hero Arts Stamps Set and an Imaginisce Tote Bag!!

Warmest Wishes To You!!

and yours!!

From all of us here at Glue Arts!!

It's that time of year...hard to believe that this week we will celebrate Thanksgiving in just three days.

Many of us with gather together with friends and family and surround ourselves with good food {and football!}

It's a perfect time of the year to sit back and thank one another for all that we do. Even through difficult times it's important to find what is truly beneath the Pumpkin pies and Cranberry sauce and that is remembering all that we have to be thankful for.

Today Designer Cheri Wenger reminds us to be thankful for hot cocoa! Definitely a family favorite! {don't forget the marshmallows!!} And Designer Carole Janson reminds us to be thankful for friends. Not a bad combination!!

 Winter Warm Up Gift Tin

a fillable gift tin with wrapped cocoa packets

Designer: Cheri Wenger

Supplies:
Adhesive: (Glue Arts) U-Cut It Double Sided Foam Adhesive, Extreme Adhesive Squares, Ribbon Adhesive and Glue Glider™ Pro with Extreme Adhesive. (Judi Kins) Diamond Glaze
Punches:(Stampin’ Up!®) Scallop Circle Punch and Corner Rounder Punch; (Marvy) 2-1/2" Circle Punch; (EK Success) Real Estate Sign Punch
Cardstock: (Imaginisce) Polar Expressions Collection: So Beary Merry, Jolly Jingle, Fun Drops, Comfy Cozy, All Bundled Up; stripe CS and reverse side of Candy Cane CS (Stampin’ Up!) Whisper White; (The Paper Co.) Brown

Embellishments: (Studio 18) Red Rhinestones; white glitter, wooden spoon and warmest wishes stamp or typeset verse, 4 packets of cocoa mix, white metal lunch box tin.

Instructions:

Cut cardstock to fit flat inset on top of tin and use corner rounder for edges. Next, use Glue Glider™ Pro to apply extreme adhesive around raised rim. Here is a close up showing extreme adhesive applied to rim of metal tin which is being repurposed.
Apply ribbon adhesive to inner edging of trim. Start from the inside and wrap outward. I wrapped carribean twine around edge and on the corners I cut small strips to fill in with twine up to the edges. See below.
Wrap 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" piece of brown cardstock with maraschino twine and knot in a bow on left side. Add small strip of snowflake csrdstock to bottom with Pro. Punch patterned CS with scallop circle punch. Trim out tiny circle graphic with scissors and attach to larger punched CS with Pro. Apply double sided U-Cut it foam adhesive to back of large punched tag element and apply over top of wrapped twine as shown. Add rhinestones to bottom of tag.
Tie turquoise ribbon around top of spoon. Punch small hole in tag and use cappuccino twine to make a noose knot and tie over bow. Attach on tin using adhesive squares. Use Judi Kins Diamond Glaze on spoon and sprinkle with white glitter. Press glitter onto spoon, recycle excess and allow to dry. You can use a small amount of this on the edges to smooth out small cut pieces of twine on corners.
Cut 4" x 10-1/2" piece of patterned CS. Stack 4 packs of cocoa and wrap patterned CS around it. Secure with strips of extreme adhesive applied to overlapping areas.
Punch mittens from CS using scallop circle punch and adhere to punched circle of striped CS. Cut 15" piece of red sheer ribbon. Tie vertically around packets and make a bow. Add touch of carribean twinery to bow. Run a strip of extreme adhesive over back of layered punched elements and attach to front of ribbon to finish this adorable gift.

Step 2.
Trim 1 off 6.5 x 6 inches of Restoration Heirloom (Reverse Side) cut in half and stick to the middle of the two chipboard pieces (you need to cut in half to make it easy to bend frame) with Glue Arts Perma Tac. Crate Paper Topiary
Designer: Lindsay Wahl

Supplies:
Adhesive: GlueArts Glue Glider Pro Perma Tac, Glue Gun, Extreme Squares
Patterned paper, chipboard, borders & stickers: Crate Paper
Buttons: Bo Bunny
Die Cut: Sizzix
Punch: Marvy
Topiary kit: Oriental Trading (you can also use a 4” Styrofoam ball, 12” wooden dowel and 3 ½” diameter flower pot to create your own kit)
Twine: The Twinery

Instructions:
1. Wrap twine around wooden dowel. Use glue gun to add small amount of hot glue to the dowel, and then wrap the twine around the glue. Repeat until you have covered the entire dowel. This will secure the twine. Once the adhesive has set, insert the dowel into the top part of the topiary.
2. Die cut 10 scalloped circles from 3 different patterned papers. Use extreme squares to adhere the scalloped circles to the foam ball. Use extreme squares to adhere the buttons to the scalloped circles.
3. For the flower pot, you will need to cut a piece of patterned paper into 10 strips that measure 1”x 2.” You will also need to cut a 3 ½” circle from the same patterned paper. Punch a 3” scalloped circle from another sheet of patterned paper.
4. Begin by adhering the strips, using the Pro, around the bottom of the pot. Overlap them slightly. You will have to soften the paper slightly by rubbing it with your fingertips. This allows it to wrap around the pot.
5. Use the Pro to adhere the two large circles onto the top of the flower pot. Add a border sticker around the top border of the pot.
6. Insert the dowel into the flower pot to complete the topiary. Enjoy!

We know you have enjoyed this week and the perfect way to end it is to remind you to leave us a comment and we'll enter you to win this beautiful selection of Crate paper's Restoration line. You'll receive the papers, beautiful chipboard pieces, stickers and border stickers so that you can recreate many of the Glue Girls projects you've seen this week.

But wait....how can make those projects unless you have Glue Arts products to complete those projects and give you the confidence that when you need it to stick...chose Glue Arts!!

So we'll include our Glue Glider Pro, our must have Extreme Adhesive and our 3D Combo Pac which every crafter needs for dimensional projects!
