Tiny Dancer

Howdy!!

Some The ScrapCake and Manor House Creations 'love' to share today.

For my layout 'Tiny Dancer', I have taken inspiration from the song by Elton John for my title.  Of course my  'tiny dancer' is none other than my delightful Miss E. This 'twirling' moment was snapped in the school yard - she was all dressed up as 'Queenie' the fairy for book week.

Three collections of The ScrapCake have been combined in the creation of this.  As much as I love working within the realms of one collection, I also love to mix and match it up as well.  Here I have used My Private Happiness, Sweet Childhood and Summer City. Lots of 'blooming' Manor House Creations loveliness as well some Twiddley mushroom love, and Prima fairy resin.

I did have some fun creating a mixed media background - I played with a Twiddley 'chevron' mask, some texture paste, mists and gesso. Whilst I had the mists out, I also altered the Manor House Creations fantasy flower.  It started off as a pale green colour and I 'attacked' it with some turquoise mist.  It actually turned out a bit intense, so I softened the effect with some white gesso.

I got scissor happy and cut out lots of floral blooms from the My Private Happiness paper and some chevrons from the Summer City paper.

Halloween is just around the corner!

And for our family that means a house full of Halloween decor inside and out!

Designer Andrea Budjack has created a spooky ornament that would look great on a black feather tree or hung perhaps from a chandelier! This is also a craft kids can join in on as well!

If you don't decorate for Halloween...then change it to Noel and make your own holiday ornaments to give as gifts and more!

Manor House and The Scrapcake combined

The Scrapcake My Private Happiness collection was combined with a medley of Manor House Creations flowers - And what a beautiful combination they make!

The happy inspiration for this project came about with the days getting longer and a touch milder in my part of the world.  We have just entered the second month of Spring.  Soon it may be warm enough to venture to the beach and enjoy some time chasing waves or in my youngest case, running away from them and at the same time squealing with delight.

Here she is doing what she loves best at the beach

The My Private Happiness collection called for scrapping this happy memory.  The colours and floral elements spell spring and summer fun.
The large decorative decorative circle elements were hand cut from the 7" x 12" Creative Dreams. This creates a beautiful backdrop for the other hand cut elements and pretty Manor House Creations flowers.

A step by step for this project is available on the Manor House Creations Blog HERE

A few closer peaks follow:
