Cheri Wenger has made a very fun and sweet Heart Shadowbox and last but not least, Glue Girl Lesley Langdon...has made a fun project and a video tutorial just for you!

Designer Intro:
I held onto this sign for YEARS, thinking that one day, I might re-purpose it in a crafty way. The day has come! The Girls' Paperie paper is perfect for this project. I wouldn't have bothered painting the frame, but I had one damaged corner, so I had to get crafty. I used acrylic paint and some Shimmerz spritz to liven it up a bit. I made this with my daughter in mind. I wanted to put it up in her play room so that she could write little play notes and reminders and pin them up. I hope you enjoy the video!

1. Trim papers to fit the front and back outside and inside covers of the journal. Ink the edges of all papers with the ink pad and sponge and attach two of them to the outside covers using the Glue Glider Pro with High Tac refill and the Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive squares in the corners.
2. Use a scalloped circle of paper as a template to cut out a scalloped circle to use on the front of the journal. Cut out the shape and trim to the size that you'll need for the book. Ink the edges with the ink pad and sponge and attach it to the book with the Glue Glider Pro.
3. Cut circles out of the papers and distress the edges of each.
4. Choose letter stickers for the title and other stickers for accents for the journal front. Use the nail file to rough up the edges so the stickers can be inked. Attach the stickers to the journal front.
5. Use more scrap paper to make two small tags to hang from the spine. Ink the tags and add more inked stickers to them. Attach them to the spine with some ribbon or twine.
6. Fold long strips of paper in half and attach to a few pages in the journal for reinforced dividers. Use a bone folder to get a crisp edge and attach as many as desired to the pages using the Glue Glider Pro. For tabs on these dividers, fold inked stickers in half and attach to the page edges.
7. Tie additional ribbons to the journal binding and trim the ends.
TIP: To add extra interest and dimension on your layouts and projects, use a combination of the Perma-Tac adhesive on some pieces, then use the U-Cut it foam on others, layering more than one thickness of the foam to lift some things higher off the page.

Instructions:
1. Take lid off of heart box and place box and lid face down on top of Travel Skirt CS. Trace shape in pencil, trim out with scissors and adhere to back side of each using Pro with high tac adhesive. Flip both over.
2. Trace base of box onto red polka dot CS and lid onto Vintage Travel CS. Trim each approximately 1/8" inside of pencil lines. Keep back trimming until shapes fit inside lid and box. DO NOT ADHERE YET.
3. Trim two 1" strips of polka dot CS approximately 7" in length. Score down length of strips 1/4" from edge and fold on score line. Make V cuts along the 1/4" scored area. This will allow for the strip to wrap around inside of lid. Apply high tac adhesive to back side of each strip using Pro with scrap sheet of paper below. Attach first piece starting at the bottom point of heart with little tabs bent and attached to inside background of lid. Place second strip on top of overlap area and continue wrapping. Trim at top center of heart with scissors. Use small piece of ribbon adhesive to reinforce seams.
4. Attach heart to inside of lid using high tac adhesive in Pro. Diecut shapes and use them to decorate the inside of lid along with stickers and button. Add white dots around scallop oval diecut. Attach you and I mini stickers and add button with extreme adhesive square.
5. Line the rim of the lid (still laying face up) with tacky glue. Attach chenille yarn around the top edge and allow to dry. while waiting attach crochet white poisie on top of chipboard flower with extreme adhesive square. Use same adhesive to layer red button on top. Heat up glue gun and attach knotted red ribbon and chipboard flower to top edge of lid as shown.
6. Cut two 2" x 7-1/4" strips of patterned CS with numbers on it. Attach to outside of box base using high tac adhesive and Pro. Overlap 2nd strip using a piece of ribbon adhesive to reinforce seam. Trim at bottom of heart and seal with a small piece of ribbon adhesive.
7. Trim two 1-7/8" x 6-3/4" pieces of Travel skirt CS, apply high tac adhesive to back of each and wrap inside of heart box following same technique used in step 6.
Attach red dotted heart to inside bottom.
8. Attach red chenille to top of box base using tacky glue. Allow to dry. Set box base and lid on their sides with their points face inward. Attach lid to base using hot glue sticks and glue gun. Add red pompons around edge of box base.
9. Punch scallop circle from blue ledger CS and edge with brown ink and sponge. Layer brown circle sticker on top. Punch red polka dot cardstock with 3/4" circle punch. Drag edges over brown ink. Layer on top with Pro. Attach epoxy sticker on top.
10. Print out photos of you and your loved one. You can crop the photo, as I did, in a heart frame. Scale to a size that will fit into the base of the box as a shadowbox. Cut out heart shaped photo which will later be added inside box. Attach non-trimmed full length photo to piece of U-Cut-It adhesive foam only removing liner from top side of foam. Place image on top of cutting mat. Use craft knife with fresh blade to cut around contour of bodies. It helps to leave a base to stand on to give more stability. Add hot glue to bottom of 3D photo cut out and down right edge. Attach to back side of lid and inside rim of base as shown in photo. Hold until dry.
11. Attach heart shaped photo and layered scallop circle elements to box base background using high tac adhesive and Pro to finish off project.
