Make A Fun Album with GlueArts

Hi everyone!!
Jaime Warren here with you today with a fun little project for that child or teen in your life!! My girls love to make paper bag mini albums for their personal albums - Jill for her American Girl dolls, Hailey for her animals, etc.

I start out by punching two holes in the paper bags, right along the edge. I layered each page with two different patterned paper sheets, attaching with the Glue Glider Pro. Using the U Cut It Foam I attached my embellishments giving them extra dimension. I used a combination of sticker embellishments, die cuts and chipboard.

I will give my girls scraps and embellishments that I have purged from my stash to use in their albums. It's the perfect way to de-stash and help your kids get creative! The best part is that they can create one for anything and everything.

My girls love going back through their albums, reading their journaling, looking at their photos. I love how inexpensive it is - if one page isn't quite turning out how they want, grab another lunch bag - easy peasy!

Supplies:
GlueArts Glue Glider PRO+ Perma Tac
GlueArts U Cut It Foam
GlueArts Adhesive Squares

Hope you guys have enjoyed this simple kids/teen project!! This can be made for boys...perhaps to scrapbook a baseball game they attended, or maybe they just finished a boy scout camping trip, photos from a favorite weekend...you name it!!

Let's Make a Easter Chick Nest with GlueArts!

A quick stroll through your local craft store should net you some easter eggs, flowers, moss and maybe even a small egg carton too!

The trick is...how to take all those items and make something you'll be happy to set out or even give as a gift.

Designer Linda Albrecht has just the idea and crafts for you today!

"Egg Carton Chick Nest"
GlueArts Designer: Linda Albrecht

Supplies:
Other:
patterned paper for butterfly- Pink Paislee
chipboard butterfly die cut- Accucut
paper egg carton (4 sections)
3 plastic or paper mache eggs
green moss
orange felt
black rhinestones
yellow feathers
artificial flower and greens
clear glitter
acrylic paints

Instructions:

1. Cut off 4 sections from a paper egg carton and paint with acrylic paint. Paint eggs yellow if needed and splatter with black paint.

2. Once eggs are dry, cut triangles for beaks and adhere to front of egg with a Mini Extreme Adhesive Square. Apply black rhinestones for eyes and apply pieces of yellow feathers for wings on sides of egg.

user posted image

3. Stuff egg cups with pieces of green moss... if needed add a few Adhesive Squares to inside of cups to hold moss in place.

4. Apply Perma Tac Adhesive to entire surface of chipboard with Glue Glider Pro. I like to ru my adhesive slightly past the edge so that I can rub it around to the back of the chipboard. The edges of the paper will be nice and stuck plus the extra adhesive around the sides collects glitter when you glitter the front of the patterned paper and just seems to finish off a 3D embellishment.

user posted image

5. Apply patterned paper piece to chipboard then lightly sand the outside edges. Apply clear glitter to the front of the butterfly making sure to push the butterfly into the excess glitter to coat the side edges.

user posted image

6. Add a few sprigs of artificial greenery to the front right egg cup using Mini Adhesive Squares at the end.

user posted image

7. Help the child with hot glue gun by adding a small amount to the rim of the cup with the greenery so that the butterfly can be glued in place. Do the same for paper flower.

8. Place egg chicks on top of the moss into the 3 remaining cups of the egg carton.

How sweet is that? This can be made just as Linda shows or bright and colorful....you create it...and GlueArts  will adhere it!

Spring Chick Puppets
GlueArts Designer: Patti Milazzo

Supply List:

Glue Arts-
Glue Glider Pro
1/4 Perma Tac Cartridge Refill - Pro
Mini Adhesive Squares
Adhesive Squares
Spooled Ribbon Adhesive

Other: Bella Blvd pattern paper (Spring Flings & Easter Things)

Instructions:
First, cut a rectangle for the body, punch out 2 circles for the wings and 1 small triangle for the beak. I cut this rectangle to 3 ½” high by 5 ½” wide to create the tube. Scalloped circles make cute wings and the triangle beak is trimmed from a larger triangle punch.

Use adhesive to line the top backside of the rectangle as well as the front right side. I used Ribbon Adhesive which allowed me to leave the backing on for little ones to easily peel it away later. But any of Glue Arts Adhesives will work fine, including the Glue Glider cartridges or Adhesive Squares.

user posted image

Fold the circle wings in half, matching sides if you’re using a scalloped edge. Then apply Perma Tac Adhesive with the Glue Glider to the inside and press closed.

user posted image

Next, remove any adhesive backing from the rectangle and roll it into a tube shape and press to secure. Before sealing the top, add a few feathers. You can secure these a bit more with a few added Adhesive Squares, if needed. Then press the top closed.

user posted image

Use the Mini Adhesive Squares to attach the wings, beak and small circle punch eyes to complete these
li’l chics!
