CCG#237 is Live

Color Combos Galore Challenge 237 is: Raspberry Delight!
And what a delight it is:
Here is my take on the Inspiration Board:

I worked with papers from the Inkido Sunshine Collection with a touch of Glitz Designs Love You Madly for Turquoise and Prima Divine for the Pear colour.

Main Focus was from Inspiration Photo 1 where the focus was on tools. Die cut elements were created using Memory Box Dies for the floral spray and butterfly. Corner punches were also used to add a decorative element to some of the patterned papers. Border punches created decorative strips.

The posy of flowers in Photo 1 were the inspiration for the clusters of pretty Manor House Creations and Prima blooms. The fret work of the box was the inspiration for the embossed element sitting behind the photo.
From Inspiration Photo 2: Focus on Typography -  A mixed font title was added with a digital Ali Edwards brush to the photo. 'You are my most favourite memory' is also a digital brush from the same Ali Edwards set - I printed this one out in the raspberry hex colour onto paper and then cut around and attached. I also took inspiration from the word 'favourite' as included in the title as well as the picture of the frame reflected in the larger square patterned paper elements and the Twiddleybitz chipboard garden gazebo frame element.

From Inspiration Photo 4: Focus on Theme - Butterflies. A die cut butterfly and a chipboard butterfly feature.

MHC - Love

Sharing a little 'LOVE' today with this:

Glitz Designs and Manor House Creations blooms - this combination makes me happy!
Yours Truly Patterned Papers with a touch of Hello Friend and few What Not elements from a previous Glitz collection whose name escapes me presently.
Some subtle masking was added to the base paper - I used the reverse side the Yours Truly Motif with a Prima Mask, Arleene's True Snow and Tattered Angels Graphite Glimmer Mist misted lightly over the top.

An assortment of Manor House Flowers from the Spring and Winter 2012 Collections feature. Ashlee, Capri, Ruffle, Imagine and Idyllic, were clustered together:
The colours of these beautiful flowers - Silver, Aqua,  Blueberry and White are so pretty together. The larger fabric white ruffles bloom is so dreamy and adds a touch of softness.

CCG #234 is Live!!

This week's Challenge: CCG #234 is Moonlight Serenade!
Check out this gorgeous inspiration board

I really like these colors together and have a particular fondness for blue gray. Although these are not always colors that I choose to work with for papercrafting I thank CCG for the challenge and making me get my 'blue gray' mojo on.

I chose Inspiration Photo #2 – “Focus On Product - Flowers" as the focus for my layout. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my flowers. Here I clustered an assortment of Prima and Manor House Creations blooms - the larger brown roses incorporated as a contrast to the softer toning.

The background of my base paper (recycled Prima 12 x 12 mask packaging) was altered with some pattern detail from Inspiration Photo #4 (using a mask) along with some embossing powder from Inspiration Photo #1. Clear Sparkle was used over the top of some texture paste to add subtle shimmer.
Some stamped bird elements with ink were also added from Inspiration Photo #3. I used Kaisercraft Periwinkle Clear Stamps for these feathered beauties.
Glitz Design Love You Madly patterned papers along with a touch of Melissa Frances were combined with Twiddleybitz Chipboard Elements - FRA017 Queen Anne Oval Frame, XMAS033 Christmas Flourish and Stars, FRA004 Vic Coll Fancy Oval Frame and ALP004 Twiddley Square Alpha all of which were inked with Maya Road Metallic Silver.

Retreat Reveal #1 - Cherish

Earlier in the week, I posted a little peek of one of the projects I put together for Scraphappy Kat's Retreat. Yesterday I traveled to the beautiful serene 'Harvest Home' lodging in Avenel where the girls attending the retreat were staying.   What a lovely group of ladies!

This is the layout that we completed:
Featuring gorgeous Glitz Designs papers from the Hello Friend Collection, Twiddleybitz Chipboard and Manor House Creations flowers.
Here are a few more closer peeks:

You are my most favourite memory...

Wednesday Greetings!

I have a little happy share today -  The ScrapCake patterned papers, Manor House Flowers and Twiddleybitz Chipboard make for an awesome combination.

Gosh, I have to say that this photo takes me back.  Missy N would only be 2.5 years of age, if that.  Found it in my old Nokia phone gallery and would have been captured during a shopping expedition to Epping Plaza.  She had her sweet little face mashed up against the bubble compartment case of the car ride she was sitting in.
First I added a little masking detail with a Prima mask and Arleen's True Snow medium.  Love this stuff - the consistency reminds me of the butter cream icing you make for cakes and cupcakes.  It is so smooth and light and applies so easily.

A Twiddleybitz Large Flourish Vine and Circle Journal Frame were added to the background. Some Gesso was randomly wiped over the top with a sprinkling of Twiddleybitz Plastic Shards.  Some colour was then added with with Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Mint Green, Georgia Peach and Primrose.
Pretty Manor House Creations flowers feature - a few from the recent Spring Collection release and some of my favourites, petite roses. The flowers were also misted to coordinate and some more Twiddleybiz chipboard frame elements peek out from amongst the arrangement- these ones are Doyle FRA018 and FRA019.

You float my boat...

A little something to share on the nautical side today - this one combines some older (but fabulous) Webster's Pages patterned papers with some Twiddleybitz chipboard and Manor House flowers - these are all from the Spring Collection release.

Twiddleybitz Chicken Mesh Wire provides a great 'netting' effect for my photo to be attached to.  Before attaching to the page, the piece was distressed by screwing it up in my hand and then gently  unfolding it.  A bit of gesso was added to it here and there but otherwise left in its natural state.
These Manor House blooms are so pretty - I combined Blueberry Rue, White and Blue Ashlee, Blue Springtime and Yellow Mayglo.
The centres were removed from a few of the Blue Ashlee flowers to create smaller a smaller flower.  The petals were lightly coated with diamond stickles to add a touch of glittery sweetness.
