GlueArts Easter Cards and Egg Hunt Fun!!

Easter Card

GlueArts Designer: Kristen Swain

Supplies:

Glue Arts Perma Tac and Adhesive Squares

Cardstock

flower- craft supply

Cricut Expression and Easter 2010 cart

crinkled ribbon- www.scrapinkris.etsy.com

DMC floss

glitter

pearl

button

twine

1. Cut card base and other images for card using Cricut machine and cartridge.

2. Layer images on card with Perma Tac, then add glitter and pearl eye to chick and allow to dry.

3. Hand stitch with floss around outside edges of card.

4. Add button/twine bow to chick's ribbon.

5. Adhere greeting diecut, then add crinkled ribbon bow and flower using adhesive squares to fold of card.

Prima: April Build A Page

The sketch was rotated to suit the orientation of the photo.

Some Masking and fussy cut elements replace the larger rectangular element behind the photo.

 I have used the gorgeous Sun Kiss Collection 

and have concentrated on the softer, paler toning of this collection.

A splash of colour was introduced with a Doodle Deaux Millicent Vine - I cut this up to maximize the coverage.

A little update.....

Thank You so much for all of your concern and well wishes after our recent accident.  I have no idea where March has gone, the last few weeks have been a bit of blur.  The physical and emotional trauma of the accident combined with the fall out and the added concern and stress for my Dad's health, has taken it's toll on me... and I crashed.  I have not been well, but I am picking up now and starting to feel more in control of things. 

So, we start the process of looking for another vehicle because 

She ain't coming home

I am kinda sad about this and yes I understand that cars are machines which can be replaced... but nevertheless, I am still a little melancholy about the fact that my blue 'smurf' will be no more.

This was our first car that Rob and I bought together - actually it is the only car we have bought together -LOL. 

I only recently discovered that he actually detested the colour.  He never said anything at the time because he knew how much I loved it.   He did eventually grow to like the colour.

Rob and I had never had a brand new car and we saved and saved like crazy to buy this before I stopped working to be a SAHM.

We bought our two babies home in this car

Lots of happy memories for us.

It's a pity that the last one I will remember will be hitting a big ass gum tree head on.

Anway moving on........

As I said, starting to find my groove again

Easter Cards & Egg Hunts with GlueArts!

Happy Easter Egg Card

GlueArts Designer: Lesley Langdon 

Supplies:

Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares

Glue Arts U-Cut-It 3D Foam

Spellbinders Grand Ovals Die Templates

Clearsnap Ink (ColorBox Queue)

Scraps of Patterned Papers (My Mind's Eye, Kaisercraft)

Singer Sewing Machine

Stamp by Stamping Scrapping

Want2Scrap Pearls

Instructions:

1. Prepare card from Kraft cardstock, adhere patterned paper pieces and ribbon with Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares.

2. Make egg by using scraps of patterned paper in strips, adhering to a base of cardstock, using Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares.

3. Stitch a zig zag stitch using a sewing machine.

4. Die cut and emboss an oval from your stitched papers using a Spellbinders Grand Oval die template.

5. Stamp Happy Easter in brown ink, and adhere egg to card with Glue Arts U-Cut-It 3D Foam. Adhere pearls.

Easy Easter Basket Box

The Internet is brimming with splendid Easter Basket templates - just do a pictural google search and pick the one to your liking! Mine comes from Martha Stewart, I just changed the top into circular ones instead of the bunny ones.

This is supposed to be a lunch box one, but you can hide lots of sweet things inside this box...

Glue Arts supplies: Hot glue gun

Other: Crate Paper patterned papers, Fancy Pants ribbon, bakers twine from the twinery, bunny stamp from Craft Origine

Assemble your template and trace it onto your patterned paper (on the BACKSIDE, the side you won't have facing outwards). Cut and fold as instructed.

For the top I wanted hankers you could hold onto, so I changed it into the shape as pictured and used my circle punch to punch out handlers.

Use a fairly broad ribbon, and stitch onto the edge as pictured and tie the thread so you'll get a circular shape when finished.

Cut an egg shape from a scrap of patterned paper, stamp a cute bunny onto it and assemble the egg and the ribbon on a piece of tag with some hot glue.
