You Simply Amaze Me with Studio Calico &GlueArts!!

You simply amaze me....this team of Designers simply amaze me..us...and we're betting they amaze you too!

Each day we think it just can't get any better and we can't find another amazing project to share with you...and our team just keeps bringing sharing more and more!!!

Designer Kristen Swain is responsible today for this beauty!! (We love how she layered the butterflies!!) She has crafted such a beautiful layout that hopefully will inspire you.

You Simply Amaze Me Layout

GlueArts Designer: Kristen Swain

Supplies:

Glue Arts- Perma tac, Adhesive Squares and Mini Adhesive Squares

Studio Calico Kit
Black Pen

1. Use paper block and adhere trim to backside of block using Adhesive Squares.

2. Use Perma Tac to adhere photos to layout, then more Perma tac to adhere tags to layout, and small star burst tags along side of photos.

3. Adhere butterflies to layout using Mini Adhesive Squares, doubling some butterflies for layers.

4. Use sticker letters to create title.

5. Use paper and washi tape to create strips across layout, adding brad to blue strip.

6. Journal on scrap paper and adhere to layout with Perma Tac.

With another amazing week with Studio Calico and their beautiful kits!

Each of our GlueArts Designers were sent the October "Field Guide" kit from Studio Calico. It was filled with patterned papers, cardstock, an exclusive Studio Calico stamp, butterflies, brads, wasabi tape and much more!

"You Are Here...In My Heart" Collage

8 x 10 black frame

Instructions:

Cut background paper to fit your frame. I removed the glass from my frame so that my collage could be very dimensional. On the background paper, mark any overlap of the frame edges with a pencil. Then cut the lined paper to fit in the center – I cut mine to 4.5 x 7, distressed the edges and then adhered it in the center with the Glue Glider Pro and Perma Tac PRO+ Adhesive.

With the stamps from the kit, stamp “You Are Here” on the bottom right of the tag which is also in the kit. Adhere the tag to the right side of the center paper. Cut/punch strips of pattern paper and layer these on the tag, as shown. Cut a large heart from cardstock and pattern paper. Adhere this (overlapping the tag slightly) using U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam. I used several scrap pieces from previous projects. Attach a small length of trim to the tag using one of the large brads.

Create the 3 circle accents with a mix of embellishments from the kit and punches. Use U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam, Raise ‘Ns and Extreme Micro Adhesive Squares to secure these to the lower left side of the heart.

Apply alpha stickers from the kit as well as a small strip of pattern paper at the top left of the heart. Use U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam to adhere the bird punch above the alpha stickers.

Finish the tag with some Washi Tape from the kit and a stamped arrow. I doubled the U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam for extra dimension. Complete the collage with additional brads and butterflies.

These Are The Days With GlueArts & Studio Calico

I've said it once...and I am going to repeat myself again...

It's amazing when you give a talented group of designers the same products to work with....how they come up with such diverse and yes...amazing projects.

Today is another one of those amazing projects this time from Designer Jaime Warren. Jaime has the gift of being a very talented photographer. (who also happens to be a very talented designer.)

Her layouts are mini masterpieces. Then add in to the mix Studio Calico's kit...our GlueArts adhesive and wow...it's pretty enough to be art!

The Days I Love You Layout

I am a huge fan of Studio Calico kits, so I was delighted that I was able to play with one of them. I particularly loved the combination of colors and patterns in this kit - SO fun and cheery! Here is what I created:

To start, I used this fun patterned paper as my base and started layering on my embellishments with U Cut It Foam Adhesive. I love the dimension the U Cut It provides!

Studio Calico Field Trip Kit

Then, I attached my photo with the Glue Glider Pro and continued to layer on my embellishments. Then, using, my paper piercer, I punched a series of holes along the strips of patterned paper next to my photo. I love how it looks like rays of sunshine! I then attached the brads.

I placed my title to the right of the brad "rays."

My last step was to attach a border to the top of the layout for some extra texture. I used my Glue Glider Pro to give it a good, firm hold.

The final result:
