A new generation has begun of those that take pride and are truly interested in keeping a home. And keeping a home well!
Whether you love to garden, clean {I know sometimes it DOES feel good though!} cook, bake, plant flower gardens...it IS a good thing and something to celebrate!!
October Afternoon celebrates that as well with their retro,vintage and colorful Modern Homemaker line!
It's filled with fun, kitchsy prints, tin pins, embellishments, chipboard, stamps and more!
Today's projects just FIT that theme like a glove! Designer Andrea Budjack made a knock out home decor wall sign, Lisa Day made a coupon organizer {love this!!} and we have a bonus project from Jenny Chesnick.{tune in Saturday for her menu board and tutorial that you will adore!!}
What do you love about being a modern homemaker? Do you secretly love to iron? Find it refreshing to windex your windows? Love to walk into a kitchen filled with baked goods? There's nothing wrong with taking pleasure in being Modern Homemaker! {don't you agree??!}

1. Take apart an envelope in a size you want and use it as a template. The envelope template I'm using makes about a 5x5 envelope so I can use a 6x12 sheet of paper to make one envelope.
2. Trace the envelope template onto your paper and then cut out the envelope.
3. Using a bone folder fold the envelope.
4. Using Perma Tac adhere the bottom flap to the folded sides of the envelope.
5. Cut a piece of chipboard to use as a cover and back to keep your envelopes protected. My cover/back is 5x5.
6. Using a crop-a-dile punch 2 holes in the envelope and cover/back to add jump rings to hold your book of coupons together.
