ARTastic Challenge Blog

There is a new challenge blog which has been launched recently called 'ARTastic'. ARTastic showcases a piece of art and participants are invited to draw inspiration from the art piece for the creative process. I think that this is a really cool idea and great to get the mojo and creative juices flowing.

This was ARTastic's April's Artist



I was inspired by the richness of colours for my layout creation 'True Colours'. The Basic Grey 'Marrakech' collection was perfect for this





May's Artist will be going up very soon. Can't wait for this one.

Long Time Beween Posts

Hi Blog Friends,

I am sorry that I haven't been around much of late - the wheels had well and truly fallen off in our household over the last couple of weeks. All four of us went down with a nasty gastro bug. When I say nasty - I mean nasty. Totally horrible; I cannot recall a time when I have felt soooo sick. Anyway, we have finally turned the corner and we have finally started to feel 'human' again.

I haven't had much of a chance for creating; not that I have felt much like it anyway, but I do have something which I finished yesterday and I will be back later on to share with you

Sweet Treat

Couldn't help myself and just had to scrap the photos that I took of Nikayla on Tuesday devouring that very yummy looking cupcake. I was 'saving' these for another idea that I had for them but then Rachelle Minnitt's chippie school challenge at Scrapping Outback this week was all about creating funky doodled titles... so funky and doodled these photos became and homework assignment number 3 is now done and dusted!

Just had to share these photos of Nikayla enjoying a frosting topped chocolate cupcake yesterday. I think that she somehow enjoyed the frosting more than the cupcake as the following pictures show

Chippie School is back in at Scrapping Outback and our teacher this week is Miss Jules (Julie Hill)

Assignment this week: Sheer Coverups

This was an interesting technique and I just love how my layout has turned out. As the chippie is fairly large, I decided to make this the feature of the layout and added some stamping to finish it off
