Weekend Happenings and a little toot

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. It was Miss N's 3rd birthday on Friday so we have been having a weekend of family birthday celebrations. Miss N has been so excited and has just loved all of the attention and of course has been totally spoilt.

We are sending you the brightest and happiest birthday wish that there could ever be. Happy, HAPPY Birthday to our gorgeous, gorgeous girl. Being 3 is a terrific age to be!!

'Hannah' aka Nanna made another super dooper cake for the birthday girl - as Miss N loves frogs this one came complete with her very own froggie 'prince charming'

Scrapping Wise, I am busy... but I can't share anything with you just yet. But I can now announce my little toot- I have a project that has been selected in the top 20 entries for the Scrapbooking Memories & Expertise Events 'CELEBRATE' competition. So if you are heading to The Australasian Scrapbook & Papercraft Convention & Expo in Brisbane next month make sure you pop on over to the exhibit and vote for your favourite. All exhibits will be anonymous and numbered accordingly.

I have also been doing a little baking and whipped up some of these jam ball doughnuts. O.K these are not super healthy but they are very yummy.

And have been indulging in a little bit of reading - The latest instalment in the House of Night series by P.C & Kristen Cast' Burned' and Kresely Coles's Immortals After Dark Series 'Pleasure of a Dark Prince'. And I am Still HANGING OUT for the latest Sookie Stackhouse 'Dead In The Family' and Kerri Arthur's final novel in the Riley Jenson Series 'Moon Sworn'

..... and about to start watching HBO's True Blood Season 2

Okee Dokie.. that's about all for me just at the moment

Take Care and talk again soon

Mamma Loves You

...Yes I do

This is my reveal for my May sketch design for Scrapping Outback

Piccie is a self portrait that I snapped of my littlest DD and myself - just adore Miss N's gorgeous expression in this one. Miss N always calls me 'Mamma' hence why Mamma has been used in the title

I have used some gorgeous chippie flourishes and Basic Grey Bittersweet papers which are available in the Scrapping Outback Store. Love, LOVE these papers; perfect for fussy cutting and the colours are so rich and decadent - remind me of cherry ripe - YUMMY!!

Some closer peekies

Still plenty of time to have a go yourself, make sure that you check out the challenge criteria here and have your creations uploaded to the Scrapping Outback Gallery by the 31st May 2010. $15.00 Scrapping Outback Store Voucher up for grabs for this one!!

Thanks so much for popping by - hope you are all having a fabby week

A Little Bag, a 'Happy' Layout and a Farewell

Here is the final reveal for last night's class that I taught at Scraphappy Kat. I have to admit that I absolutely love how this turned out

Brag Bag: 'With Love'

Some closer peekies of front cover

The roses are hand made - a bit fiddley but I think they turned out rather nice if I do say so myself

The album 'With Love' has been dedicated to my 2 gorgeous girls

A couple of the pages inside

Layout: 'Happy'

This is actually my last class showcase for Scraphappy Kat. After much reflection, I have decided to step down from the Scraphappy Kat team. Family, time restraints and other commitments are the primary reasons for stepping down. I have very much enjoyed creating and the teaching experience. Thank you Kathie for the opportunity and I wish you and team the very best for your future scrappy adventures

Another little peekie

Tonight's class at Scraphappy Kats's will also include a brag bag which would be a perfect keepsake with Mother's Day this coming Sunday. Give it away or keep it for yourself. I made mine with the intention of giving it to my Mum but I think I may just have to keep it now (LOL!!)

So I will leave you with a little peekie of the bag - and yes we are handmaking the roses!!

She likes to Twirl

Any day is a good day for twirling - around and around you go.... where you stop I do not know. Laughing and giggling as you go.......

Twirling is one of my eldest daughters favourite past times - and even better if you are wearing a layered, tiered skirt... the weeeee factor is just soooo much better if your skirt flares out around you as you spin

**Edited: Now out for Publishing. Be Back Soon!! **

Just a little sneekie peekie for now

Colour inspiration has been taken from The Colour Room

Once again some stash stomping with some much older papers - Basic Grey, October Afternoon and MME. It is a bit sad when you don't even remember buying them (LOL!!) Once again going through my flower festish and blooms are again an assortement of Prima and yes I do remember buying these... and after my recent efforts the stash stocks of these are now going down. I made the striped taupe ones myself, suppose they look a bit like a rose??? AND.... the TH Grunge Board that I have been seriously harbouring for some time got a work out as well

Once again, thanks so much for dropping by and for your lovely comments. They really do mean so much to me

O.K, now off to attempt to play catch up - I have soooo much that I have to do. Hopefully this layout has cracked the serious mojo funk that I am in at the moment

Till next time
