Set the festive table scene beautifully with a little altered bird house.  Sit it on a plaque so that sweets can sit around it.

The Kaisercraft Turtle Dove collection was combined with some of the new Kaiser wooden flourishes and embellishments to create a delightful table centre piece.   
A closer peek at the decorative nest with eggs and twig and berries - both small and large versions have been incorporated.

Kaiser September #5 Sketch Challenge

Saturday Greetings!!

Anyone feeling a little 'sketchy' this weekend? Perhaps you would like to have a go at this Saturday's sketch which is now live on the Kaiser BLOG.

Today's sketch has been inspired by the layout 'December 2012' by Diane Rowe as seen in the current Kaisercraft Workshop magazine.

This is my take on it using the gorgeous Turtle Dove collection

The photo is of my beautiful niece 'Charlotte' and was taken by her very clever mummy Kristy Knotting.  Kristy takes the most gorgeous photos.

The Turtle Dove 'Delicate' Die Cut creates a lovely backdrop for some hand cutting

 a little bit of layering and a few mini paper blooms scattered.

A little Mint Twist....

Gosh the Mint Twist collection is super cute.  The colours are fantastic, bright and non traditional - they were so much fun to work with.  

'Tis the season' for 'twisting' mint green with aqua blue, bright red and a touch of lolly pink for this one.

Both my girls believe and I just love how excited they get.  Here they are sitting on either side of Santa - wish I was privy to their conversation.   I did ask them, but they told me it was a secret; just between them and Santa :)

The colours pop against the white cardstock background. I have also kept the layout relatively simple with the focus being on a layered bunting that was created with lots of  the collectable elements.

Twig & Berry: Altered Georgian Album

A little festive keepsake to share today.

The Kaiser Twig & Berry collection was combined with the Georgian Album to come up with this:

The album cover features collectable and sticker elements

Along with wooden flourishes - how cute is the fancy deer!
Pearl flourish, a few mini paper blooms and ribbon roses - the olive colour coordinates beautifully with this collection.

More wooden flourishes, die cuts from the paper pad and collectables were perfect for bringing my festive memories to 'life'.

Glue Crew at 2012 Mud Crusade Atlanta!

RS Industrial team members participated in the Mud Crusade 5K run held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sept. 15 2012. “The Glue Crew” tested their physical and mental strength as they ran through an obstacle course featuring tunnels, barbed wire, ropes and fire…all while in the mud! A portion of the race’s proceeds benefited the American Cancer Society and the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, which supports wounded troops and their families.

Sending some Christmas Card love....

.... From Me to You

I have a few cards to share today created from the 3 new Kaiser Christmas releases - Turtle Dove, Twig &  Berry and Mint Twist.

First up, a 'Christmas' card created with Turtle Dove

A few cut out elements from the patterned papers were added to an easel type card.  They were arranged and attached to create a 3D scene effect. 

A sentiment was attached to the back of the card which also allows for a personal festive message to be added for the recipient.  

A card also created with the Twig & Berry Collection

I added a couple of lace doilies and baubles cut from the Turtle Dove Baubles specialty paper.

And finally a fun card created with the Mint Twist collection

Tuesday Tip: Gift Card Holder

Head on over to the Kaisercraft Blog - I have a little tutorial for recreating a gift card holder.  I have found these a great way to personalise a gift card gift for someone special. Easily adapted to suit any theme and occasion. I have made this one up in the super fun Mint Twist collection - perfect with Christmas coming (dare I say it LOL)

Twig & Berry - 'Angel'

The  Kaisercraft TWIG & BERRY collection was perfect for capturing the magic of my littlest playing the part of an angel in a Christmas play at the local Carols by Candlelight.

Here she is an angelic as ever - yes I am perhaps biased LOL.  She will always be my 'Angel' any time of the year.

I have layered an assortment of the Collectables with a few die cuts from the Paper Pad.  The Turtle Dove 'Baubles' Specialty paper also coordinated beautifully with the Twig & Berry collection.

  I was also able to incorporate a few hanging ornaments as well.
