What a week it's been with Epiphany Crafts!

Each day something new to make you ooh and aah...

And although you couldn't see it...when Designer Linda Albrecht posted this project we were seriously jumping up and down over it! Take a look around any shoe department and what do you see...flowers...flowers everywhere! Linda shows how you can dress up your favorite shoes with yes...a flower! And best...it's not permanent so you can chance them out to match your outfit or suit the occasion!! How sweet is that?! And Designer Jan Hennings is sharing a second project for you...this one suited for teachers...or a friend too!!

Flower Shoe Clips

Designer: Linda Albrecht

Supplies:
Glue Arts "Fabric Bond" adhesive & "Glue Glider Pro"
Glue Arts Hot Glue Gun & Hot Melt Sticks
Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio "Round 25 Tool" & "Bubble Caps Round 25"
Fabric
Patterned paper

Instructions:
1. Tear two fabric strips that measure 1 3/4" x 26" and apply Fabric Bond Adhesive along the longest edge of each.

2. Fold and Iron the fabric strips in half then cut slits into the folded edge ar 3/8" intervals

3. Cut 2 circles from felt for the base of each flower that measure 2 1/4" round.

4. Begin hot gluing the fabric strip along the outside edge of the felt circle and coil it toward the center. 

5. You may have to make small tucks in the fabric strip as you get closer to the center of the circle.

6. Use the Epiphany Shape Studio Tool to add patterned paper to the clear Bubble Cap then adhere it to the center of the fabric flower.

7. Hand sew a flat hair clip to the backside of the flower for attaching to shoes.

Accessories for School - Teacher Gifts

I reused a small box I had on hand and added a bubble button to the center of the bow.
 
Supplies:
GlueArts Ribbon Adhesive
Epiphany Crafts, Shape Studio and Bubble Button 25, Shape Studio and Bubble Buttons 14 
Paper Clips
Notebook
Paperclips


Instructions:
1.) Start with paperclips that have a round frame at the top. (Hobby Lobby)
Use Epiphany Crafts, Shape Studio and Bubble Buttons 14. 

2.) Use scrap cardstock to stamp small images.

3.) Use Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive to hold the Bubble Button inside the frame of the paperclip.

Spiral
1.) Using scrap cardstock, stamp an image.
2.) Use Epiphany Crafts, Shape Studio and Bubble Button 25.
3.) Add the bubble button to the top left of the spiral.
4.) Embellish the front of spiral as desired.

Today we have two more projects that we feel certain you'll love! Designer Lesley Langdon has just what every little girl (and big!) would love to wear in their hair! Change It Up Hair Band!

I once had an idea for velcro, that I bought 6 meters of the stuff, and never used it. So today, I bring it out to show you how to make a cute headband that can be changed up whenever you feel like it!

This headband requires you to use a sewing machine, or if you are particularly handy with a needle and thread, you can try it that way too.

Supplies:

Glue Arts Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Epiphany Crafts Frayed Felt Flowers (Cherry, Clover)

Epiphany Crafts Star Felt Flowers (Mint, Whimsey)

Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool (Heart)

Epiphany Crafts Bubble Caps (Hearts)

Instructions:

1. Measure length of ribbon for your headband based on the head of the recipient (approx. 15"). Fold both ends up about 1/4 inch and stitch.
2. Sew on opposing pieces of velcro on each end of the ribbon (a small piece(approx 1 inch) to grab, and a long strip (approx 4 inches) to offer a range of tightness.
3. Take 3 strips of velcro and sew onto canvas (repeat), use a die template to cut an oval and a circle. Once the shapes are cut, sew around edges and then sew the two pieces together so that they overlap. Sew piece onto the ribbon headband a little off center.
4. To dress up and prepare the Epiphany Crafts flowers, die cut 5 small ovals out of the velcro, use your Glue Arts Glue Gun to adhere the velcro ovals to the backs of flowers (make sure it is the opposite piece of velcro to be able to stick to the headband.

5. Use the Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool (hearts) and apply paper to the epoxy bubble cap (hearts) by punching the tool. Adhere the heart bubbles to the felt flowers with Glue Arts Hot Glue.

6. Now create your custom headband, arrange and rearrange flowers until you reach the desired look.

Butterfly-wand

Supplies:
Glue Arts:

U cut it - 3d adhesive foam blanks

Tulle, papers from Pink Paislee (Cupid collection), bakers twine, wood dowels

 The base is a butterfly-template found on the Internet. Simply google "butterfly template" and chose the results to be shown as "pictures" - and pick the shape that fancies you. I read this tip from some blog, I'm afraid I don't recall which one atm, that if you wanted to keep certain butterfly-templates, you could transfer the pattern to sturdy chipboard and thus be able to keep the template. I thought this was a nice idea, so that's the first thing I did.

Using the repositionable adhesive I attached the pattern to the chipboard and cut around the shape. This yields a nice, sturdy template you can use again and again.

Chose a patterned paper (I picked papers from Pink Paislee's Cupid-collection for my girly project) and trace around your template.

Then I prepared the small expoxy-hearts I wanted to use. 

The next step was using the large extreme adhesive square around the top-ish of the wooden stick, to fasten the twine with and hold it in place. Simply wrap the square of adhesive around the stick.

Tie the twine around it.

Using the smaller extreme adhesive squares, attach it to the back of the epoxy-hearts.

Place w/the end of the twine and attach the second heart upon again, sandwiching the twine w/extreme adhesive.

As for the other end of the twine I wanted to attach a different embellishment to it; the felt shape.

With a larger epoxy-circle attached to the back of it. Both were attached using the larger extreme 

adhesive squares.

More felt embellishment: These green circles were originally in three layers: I removed the smallest/top layer and replaced them with letters and numbers instead. This wand was for my daughters 6th birthday, hence the letter A for her name and the number 6 for her age.

Again I used extreme adhesive squares for this.

I wanted to attach tulle to the wand, so more extreme adhesive squares were rolled around the stick in preparation for the tulle to stick.

Then it's time to attach the butterflies, with adhesive along the middle part plus 3d foam around it as shown in the picture.
Place the other butterfly carefully upon the first one and tada - you've got yourself a butterfly-wand your little one will love and adore! Mine surely did!

Flowers for You with Epiphany Crafts!!

How many of you give or receive flowers for Easter!

Often they don't come to us in the nicest or most fashionable of containers. Let's face it...it's the flower that is what we're truly looking at.

Designer Leslie Ashe received these beautiful flowers and thought the Epiphany Studio Tools would be the perfect way to dress up a slightly drab container. We have to admit...this is such a fun idea!

And Designer Jan Hennings has a bangle cuff bracelet that can be made to match your outfit, style and dress up your wrist like non other!!

Flower Container

This was one of the most fun and super fast projects I've done!

Glue Arts supplies:
Extreme Tac Adhesive Squares (both regular & mini), Ribbon Adhesive.

Epiphany Crafts supplies:
Shape Studio Round 14 & 25 with bubble caps for each Shape Studio

Other supplies:
May Arts ribbon
Various papers from my stash 

Directions:
punch various circles using both sizes of EC's Shape Studio's Round tools

measure ribbon around planter & tie a bow
put glue dots around top of planter & ribbon adhesive on back of ribbon
(this is to make sure it sticks TIGHT just in case you're keeping your planter outside on your patio)

pull your ribbon up to the top of your planter & add flowers with EC's shape studio's round tools

set out and enjoy!

Bangle Cuff Bracelet

Supplies:

GlueArts Ribbon Adhesive, Hot Glue Gun

Epiphany Studio Tools

Crown Stamp

Lace, Ribbon, Felt

Instructions:

 Step 1-Stamp a small crown on a scrap piece of cardstock or cardboard.

Step 2- Center the stamped image in the Shape Studio. Place the protective cap in place, close lid and punch.

Step 3-Measure your wrist and cut 2 pieces of beige lace and 1 piece of 1" wide felt, 1.50" longer than your wrist measurement. Cut one piece of black felt, 2" longer than your wrist measurement. Set aside.
Step 4- Using canvas and Sizzix Alterations Flower Die, cut each flower once.
(If desired, stamp script on some of the flowers.)

Step 5- Sew the first piece of beige lace to the center of the felt.

Repeat this step for the second piece of beige lace, sewing it to the other side.

Step 6-Use Glue Arts, Ribbon Adhesive and run a strip down the center, between the pieces of beige lace. Apply the black lace to the center and turn the ends under. Apply Ribbon Adhesive to hold the ends securely.

Step 7- Layer the canvas flowers and using Glue Arts Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks, glue between layers.
Step 8- Select a regular button that is about the same size as the Bubble Botton.

Step 9- Hot glue the Bubble Button the the regular button.
Step 10- Join the ends of the Bangle Cuff and find the center on top. Hot glue the flower to the center.
Step 11- Use a small velcro square for a closure.
