You are my most favourite memory...

Wednesday Greetings!

I have a little happy share today -  The ScrapCake patterned papers, Manor House Flowers and Twiddleybitz Chipboard make for an awesome combination.

Gosh, I have to say that this photo takes me back.  Missy N would only be 2.5 years of age, if that.  Found it in my old Nokia phone gallery and would have been captured during a shopping expedition to Epping Plaza.  She had her sweet little face mashed up against the bubble compartment case of the car ride she was sitting in.
First I added a little masking detail with a Prima mask and Arleen's True Snow medium.  Love this stuff - the consistency reminds me of the butter cream icing you make for cakes and cupcakes.  It is so smooth and light and applies so easily.

A Twiddleybitz Large Flourish Vine and Circle Journal Frame were added to the background. Some Gesso was randomly wiped over the top with a sprinkling of Twiddleybitz Plastic Shards.  Some colour was then added with with Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Mint Green, Georgia Peach and Primrose.
Pretty Manor House Creations flowers feature - a few from the recent Spring Collection release and some of my favourites, petite roses. The flowers were also misted to coordinate and some more Twiddleybiz chipboard frame elements peek out from amongst the arrangement- these ones are Doyle FRA018 and FRA019.

TSC & MHC - 'You mean so much to me'

Hello again lovely people,

Today I have a some project shares combining The ScrapCake 'Sweet Childhood' papers and Manor House Creations Flowers. And again,  I have to say, what a lovely combination!

First up a tag project

Which I then incorporated in the design of this layout

A few more Manor House flowers were added to the floral arrangement of the tag to balance it out.
Hand cut and paper elements are also layered under the tag.
To create smaller blooms, I removed the centres from some of the flowers and used these alone.  The remaining petals were lightly misted with Patina glimmer mist and also incorporated. Petite Roses replace the centres.

Products used:  The ScrapCake – Sweet Childhood Collection:  Big Dreams, Little Me, A Child’s Love, Sweet Innocence, Oh So Cute, 6” x 6” Paper Pad, Die CutsManor House Creations – Darling, Petite Roses – Soft Pink, Idyllic – Pink, Plain Jane.

MHC - 'Laughter'

Hello, HELLO!!

Things have been a little quiet on the blog front lately but I plan on catching up - lots to update over the next few days :)

Kicking off today with a project I did for MHC last month - I had lots of fun putting this step by step together. You can check it out HERE on the Manor House Creations blog.

The colours are perhaps a little different to what I would normally work with but with saying this, I just totally heart the blue and orange together.   A Twiddleybitz Chevron Mask was used with some texture paste and glimmer mists to alter the background.

The photo is of my gorgeous niece Mia and nephew Koan. They are twin siblings.  This photo makes me smile so much.  It depicts them perfectly as they are always laughing.  Just love how happy and carefree they are.
I combined a bit of older and newer for this one - New papers from The ScrapCake Summer City collection combined with a splash of some older Webster's Yacht club.

An assortment of Manor House blooms feature - previous Summer, Winter and Spring collections along with some of these NEW beauties -

Tiny Dancer

Howdy!!

Some The ScrapCake and Manor House Creations 'love' to share today.

For my layout 'Tiny Dancer', I have taken inspiration from the song by Elton John for my title.  Of course my  'tiny dancer' is none other than my delightful Miss E. This 'twirling' moment was snapped in the school yard - she was all dressed up as 'Queenie' the fairy for book week.

Three collections of The ScrapCake have been combined in the creation of this.  As much as I love working within the realms of one collection, I also love to mix and match it up as well.  Here I have used My Private Happiness, Sweet Childhood and Summer City. Lots of 'blooming' Manor House Creations loveliness as well some Twiddley mushroom love, and Prima fairy resin.

I did have some fun creating a mixed media background - I played with a Twiddley 'chevron' mask, some texture paste, mists and gesso. Whilst I had the mists out, I also altered the Manor House Creations fantasy flower.  It started off as a pale green colour and I 'attacked' it with some turquoise mist.  It actually turned out a bit intense, so I softened the effect with some white gesso.

I got scissor happy and cut out lots of floral blooms from the My Private Happiness paper and some chevrons from the Summer City paper.

Manor House and The Scrapcake combined

The Scrapcake My Private Happiness collection was combined with a medley of Manor House Creations flowers - And what a beautiful combination they make!

The happy inspiration for this project came about with the days getting longer and a touch milder in my part of the world.  We have just entered the second month of Spring.  Soon it may be warm enough to venture to the beach and enjoy some time chasing waves or in my youngest case, running away from them and at the same time squealing with delight.

Here she is doing what she loves best at the beach

The My Private Happiness collection called for scrapping this happy memory.  The colours and floral elements spell spring and summer fun.
The large decorative decorative circle elements were hand cut from the 7" x 12" Creative Dreams. This creates a beautiful backdrop for the other hand cut elements and pretty Manor House Creations flowers.

A step by step for this project is available on the Manor House Creations Blog HERE

A few closer peaks follow:

MHC: Sunshine & Love

"Her smile beams like sunshine,
which fills our hearts with
LOVE"

Loved putting this one together for my introductory project for MANOR HOUSE CREATIONS.  I have  combined beautiful blooms with The Scrapcake 'My Private Happiness' patterned papers and Twiddleybitz loveliness.

I first had a little play with Twiddleybitz Chevron mask, texture paste and glimmer mists to alter the patterned paper base.

I am also totally smitten with the beautiful Manor House Creations Winter’s Song blooms.  They are exquisite in detail and design, and the colours are just gorgeous.  Here I have combined the salmon pink from the Embers pack with the blue from the Log Cabin pack.  The petal from each of the blooms were separated with the centre of each bloom creating a focal point for the main floral cluster.  The remaining petals were then tucked into the floral arrangement.
Pretty Pink Idyllic blooms were misted to coordinate with the deeper salmon pink.  To soften a little, the petals were tipped with white Gesso.  Blue Sprinkles from the Cupcake Mix were also given a light treatment of white Gesso to soften and coordinate with the beautiful blue of the Winter’s Song flowers.

Behind the photo sits the frame work from Twiddleybitz Opening Gates and a Christmas Flourish was also incorporated into the large floral cluster.
Manor House packaging was also incorporated. The little girl holding the heart and a sprinkling of salmon pink heart flowers were cut from the ‘Sprinkles’ packaging and attached.  Twiddleybitz hearts create balloons which the little girls holds onto.
Materials:
Manor House Creations -  Idyllic Pink, Winter’s Song – Embers, Winter’s Song – Log Cabin, Sprinkles – Cupcake Mix, Packaging
The ScrapCake – My Private Happiness – 7 x 12 The Sweetness of Life; Summer City 6”x6” Paper Pad

A little 'Summer Lovin'

During the month of August, Twiddleybitz combined with the Australian manufacturer Manor House Creations.  We had lots of fun adding the beauty and splendor of Manor House blooms to our Twiddley creations.

I have combined lots of Twiddleybitz loveliness with an assortment of Manor House blooms and The Scrapcake patterned papers. Manor House Creations are also the exclusive Australian distributor for The Scrapcake collections.

I just adore the gorgeous colours of the Summer City collection.  The pinks and crimsons remind me of hot summer days with spectacular sunsets on dusk.  The teal and blues are cooling and wash away the heat of a summer's day. 'Watermelon Splash' creates the perfect backdrop with accents from 'Paradise' layered over the top.  'Blue Lagoon' was used to cover the outside of the shadow box and it provided a wonderful contrast to the gorgeous splash of watermelon already incorporated.

The following TWIDDLEYBITZ elements were incorporated -

SB12001 12 x 12 Shadow Box
BOR031 Baby Sea Animals Border
SPK004 Steam Punk Clock with Gears
FLOR022 Long Flourish No Tail
FRA010 Circle Journal Frame
FRA013 Ornate Circle Frame
OVO17 Lighthouse Overlay
TEM009 Shingles Template

I added lots of MANOR HOUSE blooms to create a tropical oasis - you will spy Petite Roses - Blue, Melon and White, Idyllic, Winter's Song - Mittens - totally **heart** these beauties, Plain Janes and Taneisha.  Some of the blooms were easily altered with colour mists to create a coordinated look with the fabulous colours of the patterned papers.
Amongst the flowers sit some Twiddley sea friends - these were cut from the Baby Animals Sea Border.
One of the new Twiddleybitz page overlays is also featured - this one is the Lighthouse.  The lighthouse element was altered with  the assistance of one of the new templates - I have used 'Shingles', with lots of Texture Paste, Gesso, Diamond Dust and some misting.
Some twine and Prima shabby metal elements and Say It in Crystals finish it off.

Till next time,
