Ways To Show Your Love with GlueArts!

It's hard not to notice that tomorrow is Valentine's Day!

Red, white, pink...hearts, candy, roses and special gifts for those you love.

The message for Valentine's Day rings clear...show the one you love how much you love them. And while we adore this message and the holiday, we also think why not show your love the other 364 days of the year too!

So join us this week as we share with you ways to show your love on Valentine's Day and all year round using your favorite GlueArts Adhesives!

I Love You Treat Jar
GlueArts Designer: Audrey Pettit

Supplies:

Cardstock: Stampin'Up

Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye and Studio Calico
Stamps: SavvyStamps and Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
Dies: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
Flower: Maya Road
Ink: Stampin'Up
Paint: Darice
Floss: DMC
Trims
Wool Fabric
Pinking Shears
Recycled Jar
Wooden Skewer
Button

1. Wash and dry a recycled glass jar. Cut a piece of wool fabric to size to wrap around your jar. I used pinking shears on the fabric to create texture and detail.

2. Cut two strips of contrasting patterned papers to layer within the wool. Adhere the two strips together with Glue Arts High Tac Adhesive and then machine stitch the paper to the wool.

3. Wrap the paper/wool piece around the center of your jar. Wrap a wide band of lace around the middle and tie into a knot at the center. The lace tie will hold the wrapper in place, with no need for further adhesive. Tie more trims around the jar, as desired, tying some of the pieces into bows.

4. Die cut a scalloped circle from patterned paper and adhere a fabric flower to the center with the Glue Arts Glue Gun. Using more hot glue, affix the die cut to the middle of the bow.

5. Die cut small butterflies from cardstock and stamp matching images in yellow ink. Machine stitch down the center of each butterfly and adhere butterflies to the flower and up the jar using Glue Arts Micro Extreme Adhesive Squares.

6. Paint a wooden skewer white. Cut two hearts from the wool fabric, insert the skewer in between the hearts, and blanket stitch around the hearts with pink embroidery floss. Stamp a sentiment banner on a strip of cardstock and affix to the heart, along with a final die cut butterfly and a vintage button.

7. Place wooden skewer inside the jar and fill with your favorite sweets.
