Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
A common wish in our household. In fact today the words, "we wish we had a snow day" was heard too!
In our neck of the woods, we've had quite a mild winter much to the disappointment of our children. (who are eyeing their new sleds they've yet to use!)
Designer Tamara Tripodi has a sweet winter treat that might soften the blow of little to no snow!!
GlueArts adhesives make creating this sweet treat as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Designer: Tamara Tripodi
Project: Winter treats door hanger
Supplies:
Little Yellow Bicycle Winter Twig Paper and embellishments
October Afternoon buttons
Paper crimper by Fiskars
Canvas corp fiber
White cardstock
Doorhanger die cut from svgcuts.com (or, you can use a wooden doorhanger from the hobby store)
Instructions:
Cut the doorhanger file from 'December Doorhangers' by svgcuts OR use a wooden/paper mache premade doorhanger. I just used the diecut file because it's really cute with the scalllops! The doorhanger back should be about 5.50" wide.
Create a box to go on the front with the snowflake print paper. Make the box 3.50" high, 1" deep and as wide as the door hanger. Adhere with Glue Arts perma tac.
On the front of the box layer two strips of paper. One using the light blue LYB snowflake print about 2.75" high. Adhere to box with Glue Arts perma tac. Trim a strip of solid white cardstock to 2.00" high. Pull it through a paper crimper and ink edges, Adhere with perma tac.

Embellish your door hanger with various buttons and die cut pieces (snowman, snowflakes, 'treats', bunny, etc.) I used some U-Cut it foam to pop up some of the die cuts!
Have fun embellishing it! Fill it with a few packs of hot cocoa, or even a couple candy bars and leave it on someones door for a fun surprise! Personalize it by adding someones name instead of the word 'treats'. Also, if you're making one with paper and not a wood or paper mache piece, it's best to layer 2-3 of them for durability.
