A May Arts Tee...

For me please!!

That's just one of many adorable projects you can make with Glue Arts Adhesives and May Arts ribbons!

Designer Kristen Swain shows how you can take a simple, plain tee and dress it up to look like one straight out of a boutique!

And Designer Lesley Langdon made a beautiful travel journal for her Mother. With the holidays right around the corner both of these are wonderful ideas for a special homemade gift!!!

Both projects use beatiful ribbons from May Arts! May Artstruly  has a ribbon for every need and occasion!!! And even offers online shopping to make purchasing their ribbons even easier!!

Here's today's projects...

Ribbon Top
Designer: Kristen Swain

Supplies:

white shirt
ribbon- May Arts
thread/sewing needle
Glue Arts- Fabric bond
iron

Designer Tip- My daughter had ruined this brand new t-shirt with chocolate. I just couldn't get it out, so I decided to improve it and cover the stain at the same time. The ribbon hides the stain perfectly, and made the shirt adorable!

Instructions.

1. Measure and trim your ribbon into lengths that match the shirt width plus 1 inch on each side.
2. Using Glue Arts Fabric Bond, adhere the cut ends of the ribbon to the rest of the ribbon, and iron in place.

3. Adhere Fabric bond across rest of ribbon, adhere to shirt, then iron in place.
I also basted the ribbon across the top and each side to make sure the shirt could still be machine washed.
4. Make ribbon roses by winding 4 inch ribbon into thick rope. Twist into round and stitch with matching thread around inside seams.
5. Adhere two ends of green ribbon together with Fabric Bond, then adhere to back of ribbon flower with Fabric bond. Adhere to shirt with Fabric Bond. You will need three roses and ribbon leaves. You may also baste ribbon flowers on, just to make shirt machine washable.

"A Life She Loved" Travel Journal

Designer: Lesley Langdon

Designer Intro:
My Mother is heading out to England for 6 months, for the first time! She rented a place and will spend her time travelling Europe. Lucky her! So for her travels, and for her upcoming birthday, I made her a journal to take along for the trip. Hopefully she'll use it and come back with some crazy and wonderful stories. I used a stamp to describe her perfectly, "She designed a life she loved". I also found an epoxy sticker that I had in my stash that says Great Britain on it. SO PERFECT!

I simply covered a pre-made book using the Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro (High Tac Cartridge), and embellished it with beautiful MAY ARTS ribbons, while using Glue Art's Ribbon Adhesive.
