Sweet Candy Cards
Designer: Lesley Langdon

Designer Intro:
As I went to sleep the other night, I was dreaming of ways to use this wonderful twine and it came to me! The red and white twine (maraschino) reminded me of peppermint candies, so I tried to create twine candies for a set of 4x4 cards! The sentiment has been printed onto white cardstock.

Supplies:
Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro (Perma Tac)
Glue Arts Adhesive Squares
Twine: The Twinery (Maraschino, Lemondrop, Peapod, Carribean)
Glossy Accents by Ranger Industries
Cardstock: Bazzill White, and Core'dinations
Chipboard: We R Memory Keepers
Other: Plastic Packaging, Printer, Fonts

 Twine Candies:
1. With chipboard circles, place Glue Arts Adhesive Squares on each side.
2. Wrap The Twinery twine until chipboard is covered. Repeat to make 4.
3. Cover one side with Glossy Accents. Let dry.
4. Take left over packaging plastic and wrap candies, adhere to card.

Ipod Bag & Spool Set
Designer: Linda Albrecht

Supplies:
Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro and High Tac Adhesive
Glue Arts Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
The Twinery string- Caribbean, Maraschino, and Lemon Drop
Miscellaneous Felt
2" tall wood spool
1.5" wide Lace pieces
Black ric rac
3/8" Ivory colored twill tape
green velvet leaf
buttons
fiberfill
cotton thread and embroidery floss
Glimmer Mist- Suede and Candlelight

Instructions for bird spool:
1. Apply High Tac Adhesive to the wood spool and wrap the lace around it.
2. Use hot glue to adhere black ric rac to the center of the spool then do the same to wrap a 3/8" width of the Caribbean Twinery string around the spool, slightly covering the ric rac.

3. Use hot glue to wrap the Maraschino Twinery string around the spool near the top then thread 3 buttons with cotton string and hot glue them to the spool in a vertical line.
4. Sew felt bird together and add fiberfill stuffing, leaving the tail end open for "feathers".
5. Use black embroidery floss to stitch on eyes, working from one side of the head to the other and pulling in between so that the eyes are slightly indented.

8. Thread a large eyed needle with Lemondrop Twinery string then go through the bird body where the wings would be, leaving 1" loops on each side.
7. Cut ends off of the Lemondrop Twinery string loops then hot glue a small piece of lace to the bird body for wing and smooth the twine string "feathers" back toward the bird body.

8. Adhere lace piece and ric rac to the opening at the tail using hot glue.
9. Insert a 3/4" piece of 10 gauge wire into the seam along the head for the bird's beak and wrap a small length of Caribbean Twinery string around the tail piece.

Instructions for Ipod bag:

1. Cut a 5 x 14" piece of felt for the base then fold it at the 6" mark along the 14" length to form the body of the bag.
2. Finish bag edges using a blanket embroidery stitch.

3. Fold the remaining portion of the felt over the top edge of the bag to form a flap, add a large snap for closure then adhere black ric rac to the front edge of the flap using hot glue.
4. Use cotton thread to sew 5 buttons to the lace piece then adhere it to the front of the bag below the flap using hot glue.
5. Make a handle for the bag by cutting 14" lengths of the Twinery string (6 of each color- Maraschino, Lemondrop, and Caribbean.)
6. Braid the 3 Twinery string colors then tie off the ends to hold in place.
7. Sew the handle to the right side of the bag with some of the string.
8. Cut two 1.5" circles from felt then adhere them together using Glue Arts High Tac Adhesive.
9. Apply more High Tac Adhesive to one of the 2 circles that were glued together.

10. Use 3/8" Twill tape and Caribbean twinery string to make a flower by twisting them together, wrapping it from the inside of the circle to the outside, sticking it to the High Tac as you go.
11. Spray the finished flower with Glimmer Mists, if desired. Adhere the flower and a velvet leaf to the center of the flap on the bag using hot glue.
