Yes...you read right daily giveaways! How fun is that!!

We're at it again and working with Echo Park Paper and their so sweet Wintertime collection.

Wintertime is filled with dreamy winter themes...snowmen, snowflakes, sledding and skates and a family favorite....Hot Chocolate!

Just looking at the paper has us wishing for a mug of hot chocolate and some marshmallows!! YUM

All this week the Glue Girls will be sharing with you unique ideas for using the Wintertime collection...layouts, home decor and more! And the best part besides those ideas....a daily chance for you to win. So keep reading to find out more!

First Snow Layout
Designer: Lindsay Wahl
• Glue Arts: Glue Glider Pro High Tac, 3-d combo pack
• Echo Park Wintertime collection

1. Cut two wavy borders from patterned paper to create the snow scene along the bottom of the layout. I just played with mine until I liked how the two pieces overlapped. At the highest point on the background border, the paper measures 3 ¼”.
2. Use Pro to adhere the first border directly to the red cardstock. You will be creating a pocket with the second border, so don’t adhere it just yet.
3. Trim a piece of patterned paper to 1”x 8 ½”. This strip will run along the edge of your photos. I used 3 4”x 6” photos for this layout (2 horizontal, 1 vertical). Adhere strip, followed by photos, with Pro. Add sticker border to one photo, and add photo corner to another photo. Use UcutIt foam to add the winter snowflake sticker onto the photo.
4. Cut journaling tag and fill in with necessary details. Use UcutIt foam to create a pocket on the patterned paper that will go along the bottom of the layout. (see photo collage) I placed the foam along either side of the journaling tag and along the bottom. Add more foam on either edge of the patterned paper. Peel off all of the liners and adhere to the layout. Tuck journaling card inside.
5. I cut the snowman from patterned paper, not realizing there was a snowman on the sticker sheet! So, either way you choose to do it, adhere the snowman with UcutIt foam.
6. Add sticker title and date.
7. Add snowflakes. Adhere several with foam adhesive to give added dimension.

Step 1 - Cut two pieces of paper to fit, and cover the sides of the box without the lid. Ink the edges and adhere using the Glue Glider Pro ExtremeTac for good adhesion. Next punch a decorative strip using the Diamond Lace punch. Ink the edge of the punch strip and glitter. Set aside to allow the paper and glitter to dry.
Step 2 - Next cut a piece of white felt to cover the top of the lid. Adhere using Glue Arts hot glue gun. Select a striped paper and cut to fit edge of lid. Adhere to sides. Wrap ribbon around lid using a sheer ribbon so the patterned paper shows underneath. Adhere in a few spots with Micro Adhesive Squares. Tie in the front including an ornament of your choice (Joy is shown). Affix securely with hot glue gun.
Step 3 - Once the glittered border strip is dry, adhere to box tucking just slightly under the box lid.
Step 4 - Paint the skates before you begin to allow time to dry. Paint the bottom blade Pewter Gray, and then once that paint is dry, go over with Plaid Silver Sterling Metallic paint. Paint the tops and front of the skate in Winter White. Then go over with Plaid Pearl White Metallic paint.
Step 5 - Apply a light layer of plaid mod podge to the top and front of skates. Apply a liberal coating of glitter. Shake off extra glitter.
Step 6 - Next decorate the skates with papers of your choice. Ink the edges of the paper and adhere with Glue Glider Pro ExtremeTac. Poke holes through paper, and thread twine through to create laces. Add jingle bells before tying the bows.
Step 7 - Hot glue the skates to the lid. Finish off with a hand cut or purchased snowflake ornaments or embellishments. Tuck in some Christmas picks and berries. Sprinkle a little glitter over the top for a light glittery dusting.
