Glue Arts Car Accents pumpkins
Designer: Jessica Barnett
Glue Arts Car Accents in Apple Cider and Blackout (Or choose other colors that you like. Purple, green, orange and black would be really cute too!)
Assorted craft pumpkins
Manual or electric die cutter or circle templates
Circle dies for manual cutter
Instructions:
1. Cut the vinyl into assorted circle sizes. I used my manual die cutter and a die that had four sizes of circles on it.
2. Stick the circles to the pumpkins and smooth out with your fingertips. If there are creases you can pull the vinyl back up a little and smooth it back out. TIPS: Use the larger circles near the center of the larger pumpkins and the smaller ones to fill in. The curve in the pumpkins at the ends will make it more difficult to get a smooth look on the larger circles.
Halloween Hurricane Candle
Designer: Kristen Swain
Glue Arts Car Accents ( Black Out, White Out, and Pumpkin Patch )
Cricut Expression Die Cut machine
Happy Hauntings Cartridge, Cricut Cake Seasonal Cake Art cartridge
Hurricane candle holder ( glass ) and optional - candle
Designer Tip: I used an already swirl frosted glass hurricane lamp that I have as an everyday decoration, the swirls add interest to the spooky additions of the Car Accent vinyl. When the holiday season is over, I can store these accents on sheets of wax paper in a binder and save them for the next year!
Instructions:
1. Cut out black skeleton frame at 6 inches. Cut out white skeleton frame at 6 inches, only using interior frame, placing inside black frame. Cut out orange skeleton frame at 5.75 inches, only using interior frame. ( Keep extra frames to add to other projects)
2. Cut out witch profile at 4 inches, add inside orange frame.
3. Cut out black bat border at 3 inches, adhere along top of hurricane glass.
4. Adhere black skeleton frame to hurricane glass front.
5. Cut out letters for Happy Halloween in orange in 1 inch size. Arrange around black skeleton frame.
Supplies:
Car Accents in Blackout
Ribbon Adhesive
Adhesive Squares
Instructions on creating witch's cap:
-to create cone you need a sheet of 12x12 cardstock (any color, you're going to cover it..now's your chance to use a color in your stash you're not fond of, ha!)
-use a compass to draw a half circle.
-roll into cone shape, adhere ends together.
-roll onto Glue Arts Car Accents color of your choice (I used black)
-base is a 6" circle cut from chipboard (you can also use cardstock, a heavier type) with a hole the same diameter as base of the cone.
-cover in Glue Arts Car Accents color of your choice (again, I used black)
-slide down cone to bottom and adhere.
-tie ribbon around bottom & add embellishment at center.
Supplies:
Car Accents in: Plum Crazy, Goin Green, Blackout, Pumpkin Patch, Sterling Silver & Whiteout
Ribbon Adhesive
Adhesive Squares
instructions on creating trick bucket:
-paint a small 4 inch bucket black (if it isn't already...you can find these in the $ spot at Target)
-punch circle shapes out of Glue Arts Car Accents in colors of your choice (here I used silver, white, green, orange and purple.)
-cling to bucket & add embellishments if you choose
-wrap tulle around handle of bucket and tie at the corner.
Designer Note: When I saw the black Car Accents, I thought of a chalkboard and tried chalk on it right away! It worked! It erases with a wet paper towel. So, I decided to create a Halloween menu board that you could display at a party. You could also create one of these to have in your kitchen that isn't just for Halloween too!
Supplies:
An 8" x 10" frame (with a stand in the back)
Car Accents by Glue Arts in Blackout
Glue Glider by Glue Arts
Perma Tac adhesive by Glue Arts
Chalk
Happy Halloween stickers and paper from Echo Park
Spider rings/webbing from craft store
Instructions:
1. Remove glass from frame. Cut Car Accents vinyl piece 8 x 10" to fit inside frame. Attach to cardboard backing and put frame back together. Do not put glass back in, because we want to be able to write on the chalkboard.
2. Cut green web sticker 8" long and adhere to top over vinyl.
3. Cut striped sticker 8" long and adhere to outside of frame.
4. Adhere "Trick or Treat" sticker and spider sticker. Attach web sticker. Cut ring off of spider and adhere to web sticker.
5. Write menu ingredients on Car Accents with piece of chalk (you can use different colors of chalk if you wish).
6. Cut paper for bottom of frame 8" long. Adhere to vinyl. Stand frame up and dress it up with webbing and more spider rings. You can get the vinyl wet to erase the chalk and write a new menu!
