Clear Scraps Finale!!

This is it!

The final day of our week long partnership with Clear Scraps!

We hope you've enjoyed the projects and now are thinking of new ways you too can use Clear Scraps Acrylic products and GlueArts adhesives in your crafting!

Today we have two final projects that we just know you'll love! Designer Patti Milazzo made a gorgeous home decor piece that just makes us smile! She stamped with paint on the acrylic for a unique background and softened the acrylic with heat to shape the flowers. Imagine that smile if you gave this as a gift!!! Designer Jan Hennings has a fairytale album that is perfect for gift giving to a special couple. Or consider making a Guest Register as well to match!

Glue Arts Supply List:

Vellum Instant Adhesive

ClearScraps:
Skirted Acrylic Tag
12” x 12” Acrylic Sheet

Other:
October Afternoon – Modern Homemaker & Early Bird pattern Papers and Stickers
Sizzix Dies – Original: Flowers Layers; Sizzlit – Flowers, Branches & Leaves
Fiskars – Squeeze Punches
Heidi Swapp – Foam Stamps
Acrylic paint; ribbon; small buttons; black hemp

Instructions:
1. First, remove the protective layers from the front and back of the scalloped acrylic tag. Then use foam stamps and acrylic paint to stamp a flourished design on the top and bottom of the tag.
2. Cut a 5” piece of word pattern paper to adhere to the back center of the tag. Use the Vellum Instant Adhesive to adhere the paper to the acrylic. You can use the Glue Glider Pro with Perma Tac Adhesive for parts that will be covered by over laying paper and embellishments.
3. Cut a 4” circle from red pattern paper, distress the edges, stitch and adhere to the left side.
4. Cut a ½” strip of stripe paper and a scalloped strip of yellow dot pattern paper. Trim them slightly wider than the tag. Adhere them across the bottom of the circle.
5. Layer stickers and a 2” scallop punch (yellow dot) with U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam for dimension. Then adhere this to the center of the red circle.
6. Punch leaves and die cut small flowers from pattern paper. Adhere both to the acrylic tag using Mini Adhesive Squares. Shape and layer the flowers for dimension
7. Die cut several flowers from the 12” ClearScraps Acrylic Sheet. Remove the protective layers on the front and back of each flower. With a long pair of craft tweezers or other tool to protect your fingers/hands, hold the acrylic flowers in front of a heat gun – keep the piece in motion a few inches from the nozzle to prevent it from overheating too quickly. When it starts to curl slightly, pull away and carefully shape the petals as desired. Watch your fingertips!
8. Die cut several pattern paper flowers. Layer the paper flowers and the acrylic flowers using the U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam and the Mini Adhesive Squares.
9. Tie hemp through red button and adhere to center of flower with an Extreme Adhesive Square.
10. Adhere additional buttons in small flowers with Mini Adhesive Squares.
11. Adhere a large button to the top of the tag with an Extreme Adhesive Square. Then tie a knot in a 6” piece of gingham ribbon and adhere that to the center of the button also with an Extreme Adhesive Square.
