Please Welcome Clear Scraps!!

That's right!

All week long we're excited to bring you a new sponsor...Clear Scraps!

Clear Scraps Acrylic Albums & Shapes are made from the most flexible and durable material available. to help you manipulate them to work for your project but yet, withhold the clarity of Acrylic you have come to know.  With our material, you can emboss it, cut it, punch it, stamp it, paint it, etch it and so much more, but yet, not show any distress marks on the display.  Our products even have a higher adhesion rate for incorporating inks and wet glues.  Rub ons is also a great product to use on Acrylic as you can see the image from both sides!

GlueArts and Clear Scraps have partnered before...CHA and CK events! So please join us all week long as we once again show you how beautifully Clear Scraps acrylic and GlueArts adhesives work together!

We've also invited Clear Scraps Design Team Coordinator and Fab Designer....Pinky Hobbs to Guest Design with us all week long!

So let's get this week started!! Up first...Designer Audrey Pettit has a beautiful photo frame that uses GlueArts Vellum Adhesive and more!

1. Cut a piece of Clear Scraps acrylic 1" shorter on two sides than the window opening of your frame. My frame is 5x7, so my acrylic is 4x6. Punch two holes at the top of the acrylic using a 1/4" circle punch.
2. Cut a second piece of acrylic 1" shorter on two sides than your first piece. Mine is 3x5. Run this piece through your embossing machine using an embossing folder of your choice.
3. Swipe white acrylic paint over your embossed acrylic piece. Apply a rub-on sentiment to the bottom of the clear acrylic base.

4. Adhere embossed acrylic to the clear acrylic base using Glue Arts Vellum Adhesive.

5. Glue doily to the center of your acrylic panel using the Glue Arts Glue Gun.
6. Punch 5 scalloped circles from text-print patterned paper and cut two 2-inch circles from a contrasting paper. Dip circles into water, scrunch into a ball, and flatten out. Pinch one end of the scalloped circles together and let all the shapes dry completely.
7. Glue scalloped circles to the center of the doily in a floral shape using the Glue Arts Glue Gun. Top with the two 2-inch circles.
8. With the Glue Gun, attach two white velvet leaves and a trim bow to the left of the flower. Add a green felt flower on top of the layered circles and top with a vintage button.
9. Thread ribbon through the two holes at the top of the acrylic panel and attach to the top corners of the frame with Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive. Using the Glue Gun, add two final vintage buttons and red hemp cord bows.

Enjoy!

Please put your hands together and help us welcome Cristal "Pinky" Hobbs to the GlueArts blog!

Hi it's just me PINKY, your average ordinary chicken-raising pink haired mom! Nothing unusual here. ha! I have 3 amazing sweet boys, 1 husband, 18 chickens and one dog. I have been crafting for just over 3 years now and I fell in love with it! I am EXCITED about crafting and always will be. I work for a few companies such as Provocraft, Clear Scraps, Imaginisce as a designer, I am very blessed. The best part about crafting for me has always been that it comes from the heart. I meet many crafters from all over and one thing holds true, it begins with the heart and hands and no matter what you make it truly is the "thought" that counts. That is amazing and wonderful and all crafting is ART! I am excited to be a guest Designer for Glue Arts this month, what fun and reliable products, I know I can always depend on Glue Arts to make my project last and last! I hope to see your heartfelt work this month too!
