'Happiness is Homemade' Sewing Caddy
Materials Used: Timeless Collection Patterned Papers Ledger (P652), Dress Form (P655), World Map (P657); Wooden Flourishes – Manequins(FL335), Paper Blooms – Aubergine (F637), Sage (F632) & Packaging, Mini Crochet Doilie (EM951), Grosgrain Ribbon – Antique (RI604), Organza Ribbon – Green (RI618), Lace - Natural; Homemade Collection: Journal Tag, Rub Ons( RB879), Embellishment Pack – Buttons (EM936); Class of ’87 Patterned Paper Show & Tell – Paper Strip. Other: Chipboard/ Strong Cardboard, Hat Pin, Felt, Sewing items, Hot Glue Gun, Double Sided Tape, Foam Tape, Ink
Which opens up to reveal this
The caddy has been constructed along the lines of an ‘exploding album box’ concept. Constructed from strong sturdy chipboard and covered with Timeless Collection patterned papers. I have lined the inside the caddy with felt inserts so that pins and needles slid easily in and out of.
And showing the top lid detail
The top of the lid has been decorated with a clock cut from the ‘World Map’ patterned paper along with some buttons (Homemade Collection), lace, ribbons, manequin wooden flourish (new), tape measure (Class of '87), hat pin (from my stash) and of course pretty paper blooms (recently released).
